In the era of cyberbullying, no public figure remains safe from the grasp of never-ending criticism.
Whether it’s about someone’s characteristics, actions, or looks, bullies always find something in everyone that they can use against them.
While it’s usually better not to waste our time on bullies by giving them the attention they’re after, it is sometimes just too painful to turn a blind eye.

For Janice Dean, a FOX meteorologist, this was exactly what happened as she saw a discouraging comment about her on her Facebook page.

The bully named JoAnn wrote: “Dear Janice please stop allowing fox to dress you in those short skirts. They are not flattering on you. You’re an attractive lady, love the 80’s hair, but your legs are distracting every time you walk on screen.”

Due to all the emotions that have surfaced while reading JoAnn’s comment, Janice decided to reply to the bully. According to her, she usually ignores inappropriate remarks but this time she couldn’t.
Dean responded by writing the following message:
“Hi JoAnn,
Fox doesn’t dress me. I dress myself. I’m sorry if you don’t like my legs. I’m grateful I have them to walk with. You’re right. I don’t look like the typical person on TV, and I’m proud to be a size 10. Imagine that! You can always turn the channel if you’re offended by my huge legs. Hope you don’t mind. I may share your post with everyone on my FB page. All the best, Janice.”

After sharing the bully’s post on Facebook and Twitter, Janice explained that she is suffering from multiple sclerosis for the last 10 years. Despite the fact that she has always been conscious about her legs, she’s happy they look the way they do. After all, that’s a sign that she’s beating the diseases. “So I am grateful for my big, strong legs that keep me standing tall, help me walk, dance, kick and make snow angels. I am blessed,” she wrote on Twitter.
