600 Year Old Heritage Site Shuri Castle Has Been Burned to Ashes


There is a fire that has out broken and burned the world-famous heritage site in Japan called Shuri castle into ashes.

The building that is considered as a God by the local people of Naha has turned out to be a charred shell.

This has happened in the capital city of Okinawa Prefecture. The fire department has been called immediately after the fire started to spread to control the fire at around 2.40 am, but they were not able to put an end to Inferno.

This castle has been destroyed in a fire accident earlier but was revamped in 1946 when there was a battle going on in Okinawa.

The army in Japan has dug up the tunnels and was gone under the castle when the battle was going on for around 3 days. There was an ablaze during the 14th century in Shuri Castle, that was built during the Ryukyu Kingdom

. The fire was caught in the midnight and was spread across the wooden buildings that are surrounding the site.

Tomoko Miyazato who is 84 years old has seen Shuri Castle be burning. For the locals, this castle is equal to God. There is a clip in which one can see the fire that is beaming up in the main hall of the castle. There is an aerial view that shows the complete picture of the burnt castle.

This almost looks like a skeleton. There are many fire trucks that are used by the firefighters to bring the fire under control on Thursday. There is no report from where the fire has been out broken.

The emergency team was informed and the residents living in the surrounding of this castle were evacuated to the safe places by the Okinawa police. The flames have been raising high towards the sky. The fire started to generate smoke when the fire team was at the castle.

The castle guards saw the security system to be sparking flames and informed the emergency team. Though Shuri is a castle, 600 years ago, it was an administrative and political hub for the Ryukyu Kingdom.

In the footage, you can see the building is completely surrounded by fire leaving the 600 years old site charred.
