When we think about cleaning our home it looks like a hard task. But, in reality, you don’t need to spend the day climbing too hard to reach places or rubbing your fingers trying to clean your cooktop. There are easier ways to get it done. All you need is some savvy tricks. For example, a simple bar of soap can be a great air freshener for your drawers!
Bright Side shared some useful and easy tips that cost almost no money and help us to make our homes sparkly clean.
1 Remove hard water stains on your faucet using vinegar
Hard water stains on a faucet develop bacteria and look ugly too. What you need to do to clean them.
Tip: Soak a paper towel in vinegar.
Wrap it around the faucet.
Let it soak for 30 — 60 minutes.
2 Remove a hard stain from the carpet using an iron
You will need: ammonia, hot water, a spray bottle, a stack of clean and color-safe towels, an iron
Tip: Preheat your iron, Mix one part ammonia and one part hot water. Spray the mixture onto the carpet stain and put a clean towel on top of it.
Put the hot iron on the towel and move it around slowly. Spray the mixture on the stain and repeat the process. You might need a few more towels, depending on how hard the stain is to remove.
3 Frozen vinegar-lemon cubes can remove the smell from your garbage disposal
Ice cubes will keep the blades of your garbage disposal sharp, clean, and will help to remove any unpleasant odor.
Tip: Place a small chunk of lemon into each ice cube mold, then fill them with white vinegar and freeze.
Drop a few of the frozen cubes into your running garbage disposal.
4 How to whiten your clothes without using bleach
You will need water, lemon juice, and hydrogen peroxide.
Tip: Mix 12 cups of water, 1/4 cup of lemon juice and 1 cup of hydrogen peroxide in a large container. Add 2 cups of the mixture to each load of laundry.
5 Clean dusty fan blades using a pillowcase
Cleaning dusty fan blades can be hard, don’t worry, here is a solution for you: grab a ladder, take an old pillowcase, and just wipe down every fan blade. The pillowcase will help you to catch the dust without spreading everywhere.
6 Steam clean your microwave
After using it for a long time, microwaves start to smell, but white vinegar will save the day!
Tip: Heat a 1:1 mixture of vinegar and water until it steams.
Wipe the microwave down with paper towels.
7 Use car wax to clean your stainless steel fridge
A stainless steel fridge is difficult to clean, but don’t worry! This method can make it easy. You just need car wax (sounds crazy, but it works!)
Tip: Apply a light coat of car wax to the surface, and buff with a microfiber cloth to clean and repel smudges.
8 Get rid of water stains on your dishes with white vinegar
When you are planning a party and want everything clean and shiny. White vinegar will save you!
Tip: Put a small bowl of white vinegar on the top rack of your dishwasher (you can also put it in your rinse-aid dispenser). And, water stains will disappear!
