Wayne Green, a homeless veteran committed suicide after he felt lost after he left the armed forces and spend countless years sofa surfing with his friends.
Mr Green was 29 who hails from Bolton, was discharged from the military from after four months towards his training, at the Duke of Lancaster Regiment in Catterick, Darlington.
He was discovered at his friend’s home, and his father Wayne Senior is very much heartbroken and currently in shock.
Mr Green’s father also said that his son was preparing pylons before he set off to live his dream in the military back in 2017. His father also brought some light on the matter that, after he was discharged, he cannot believe he left.
Mr Green’s family tried to keep up with him and did everything they good under their power. His father said that his son had a lot of pride, which made him feel he was a burden towards his family.
Mr Green did have accommodation to live for which he was sofa surfing, and never disclosed his military life, and once he left the 29-year-old lost his track.
Cait Smith and Scott Hawtrey, who runs the Bolton Armed Centres for Veterans, described Mr Green as a smart and polite individual.
Therefore, Scott Hawtrey told the media of finding a temporary place to stay for Mr Green, but at certain points, individuals of his age are often overlooked.
They also said that Mr Green was a complete gentleman and had a humble nature that made him stand out among everyone. He was very much disciplined and always asked for permission before using or going somewhere.
Therefore, it further came to light that Mr Green has four meetings with his caseworker, which was regarding the veterans that were cancelled in the last minute.
