The Duke of Sussex, 36, is ‘homesick’ and wants to reconcile with the Royal Family, a royal historian has claimed.
Robert Lacey claims Prince Harry has been ‘mournfully’ calling his friends in the UK after his complaints against his father Prince Charles were badly received.
He told the Daily Mail: “’Homesick Harry’ has been calling UK pals mournfully in recent weeks, since his public complaints against Prince Charles were so poorly received.”
Lacey also said that Harry’s pals “have been trying to point out to him the risk he is running with his stream of hurtful, personal complaints.”
Harry has accused his family of neglect and racism in a series of bombshell interviews after stepping down from his royal duties and moving to the US with his wife Meghan Markle.
“I’m told that Harry has been telling friends he would like to reconcile, and is willing to admit some of the missteps he has made,” Lacey added.
Harry flew back to the UK for the unveiling of the statue of the late Princess Diana. The last time he saw his brother Prince William was during the funeral of their grandfather, Prince Philip.
The Duke is said to have already met the Queen.
He is currently in self-isolation at Frogmore Cottage where Her Majesty was seen traveling after her grandson’s arrival.
This comes after reports that the Queen wants Harry to join senior royals on the Buckingham Palace balcony next year for her Platinum Jubilee.
She also wants Meghan Markle and their children, Archie and Lilibet, to join the event.
“I think the children are a major route towards reconciliation,” Lacey said.
