Just like Michael Jackson, AIDS needs no introduction.
This is one of the sicknesses that medical science still has no definite cure of after years and years of its discovery. AIDS is preceded by the virus H.I.V.
Apparently, the second ever man in the history of the world has been successfully cured for his disease after 12 long years of the first sufferer.
Both the first man Timothy Ray Brown, 52, who was the first patient to be cured and the second man whose name has not been revealed and is being referred as the London patient went through bone marrow transplant that was apparently not for the cure of AIDS.
Both of the men suffered from a kind of cancer and were being treated for the same. In both the cases, doctors decided to transplant bone marrow and that is how they accidentally got cured of H.I.V virus.
To bring it out to reach an understanding of the common man, the team that treated the London patient is going to release the results in a journal called Nature.
The scientists are also going to discuss the case and the results in the Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections which is going to take place in Seattle.
The London patient came forward to share his experience and said “I am the second man to be cured of the sickness and I feel blessed.”
Because of the same now I feel a sense of responsibility in my heart to help the doctors understand my case better to be able to find out a possible cure for the sickness in order to help thousands of others who are suffering just like I did.
I feel so blessed because I had accepted that there might never be a cure in my lifetime.”
