A Horse Went Back To Guide Two Horses To Safety During A Wildfire In California


A massive fire named the Easy-Fire left about 7,000 homes under evacuation orders in Simi Valley and Moorpark.

In one of the clips from this incident, a horse that escaped the fire decided to go back to help other horses. The horse successfully helped the two reach safety.

According to a media outlet, all the horses were saved but a 28-year-old female horse broke her legs while running to safety.

The fire erupted on Wednesday after 6:00 am and the Ventura County Sheriff Bill Ayub revealed that about 26,000 people are affected by the orders, most of which are mandatory.

According to L.A. County Fire Chief Mark Lorenzen, ‘about the worst time it could happen’ because of strong winds and ‘fuels that were ripe and ready to carry fire.’

”The fire outflanked us very rapidly today, pushed by those 40 to 50 mph winds,” Ventura County Fire Assistant Chief Chad Cook said during a press conference, according to KCBS.point 439 |

”We did up to 65 miles per hour this morning, which made long-range spotting very, very dangerous and also quickly outpaced the initial attack resources.point 135 | point 142 | 1

”We feel we have a good contingency plan out in front of it in the event fire does cross the 23 Freeway and impact the houses in the Sunset Hills area of Thousand Oaks,” Cook added.

The Reagan Library, the largest presidential library in the nation, and everything around it was removed as well.

”We’ve evacuated everybody from the library and all the structures down below,” Arnold said.
