New Year’s Day is generally dedicated to nothingness.
To charge our body, mind and soul for the rest of the year. Before returning to work the next day, it is essential to take work off for rejuvenation.
One dad from Scotland decided to dedicate the first day of the new decade into setting up a hot tub in his living room. What made this quite a buzz was that he did every step wrong.
Derek Sneddon from Dunbeg, a village 100 miles from Glasgow said he always wanted the tub to be up and running in the house.
He didn’t realize that the lack of research on taking the tub to the living room and a series of errors would fail his project.
It took him around 18 hours to set up the tub in the living room, which wasn’t even usable until the next day. He said that every step was a challenge. For instance, they need to find something to cover the holes on the tube.
He tried Sellotape, masking tape and every possible adhesive to hold the water, but nothing was going to work scientifically. After looking through the house, he got a plastic end of a cardboard tube.
When it came to filling up the tank, he measured the garden hose roll, cut it off and tried to force it on the kitchen taps.
He forgot to take the connector, so hose never fitted the taps. Anyhow managing from the plastic pipe, he joined the hose to the taps.
He tried the water, and it was the Arctic, he couldn’t go in till the next day. When he woke up the next day, it was like Christmas all over again.
After spending 18 hours setting it up and three hours to emptying it, Derek was happy to see the final outcome.
