It was an extremely bizarre incident to happen and something like this has probably happened for the first time in the House of Commons.
The Commons who were indulged in a debate regarding new loan policies were forced to move out after the water started dripping from above.
While the session was still going, an alarming situation occurred as the press gallery was filled with water, which was right above the MP and then the water flooded the entire chamber.
No, the water was not limited to a few liters but it was gallons and gallons of water.
The debate regarding loan policies was being discussed when the incident happened. The water started dripping from the roof and the sound of gallons of water was audible to the Commons inside the chamber.
Lindsey Hoyle, Deputy Speaker announced that it is not a choice but he is being forced to abandon the chamber right away as the water was dripping down.
Within the next 30 minutes, the entire chamber was filled with water that had put a pause to the business. The authorities said that the problem is a major one and cannot be fixed this soon. It needs a lot of work, thus it will need quite some time.
This means that until Monday, there will be no meeting in the chamber and thus the table for Brexit Motions for vote and debate that was going to happen on Monday will now be delayed. The votes will be held on Tuesday now with a change in schedule.
