A diligent housewife has opened up about her unique lifestyle and revealed how she quit her job in order to start her own academy and teach women how to spoil their husbands and behave “like it’s 1959.

”

UK-based Alena Kate Pettitt is a woman living by the standards set in the 1950s who went from working in the world of marketing to keeping her house clean and spoiling her husband.

As she revealed in an interview with BBC, she wants to be nothing but a good wife and a good mother, unlike most modern women who strive to be seen for what they are beyond the ‘sexist’ boundaries.

“The culture [when I was growing up] was anything but what I enjoyed and it definitely made me feel like an outsider. It was all kind of, let’s fight the boys and go out and be independent and break glass ceilings. But I just felt like I was born to be a mother and a wife,” Pettitt said.

“What I really related to were the old shows of the 1950s and 60s.”

According to the woman, she was only happy after quitting her job in marketing and dedicating all of her time to submitting to her husband and spoiling her family in terms of cleaning and cooking.

After discovering that there are similar-minded individuals out there, Pettitt also decided to start her own academy, called The Darling Academy, which teaches women how to become wives and mothers “like it’s 1959.”

Among other subjects, the housewife trains women interested in the old-fashioned way of living about “traditional English manners, lifestyle and values.”

“To say you can go into the working world and compete with men and you’re not allowed to stay at home – to me is taking a choice away,” she added.
