Johannes Stotter, a fine art body painter, uses paint in order to camouflage his living models into their environments or to recreate different forms that are visible around him using inanimate objects or animals.
The creative painting, as well as curves of the actual model, combined perfectly to form a striking optical illusion that appears to be exceptionally realistic.
The Italian artist is popular across the world for his amazing body paintings. And he has won several awards for his viral artwork. “The Butterfly” is the artist’s latest illusion, which is dedicated to his daughter, Linnea, and he ascertains that it is his best work so far.

Johannes shared the story about this creative process and how his new masterpiece “The Butterfly” started with a mere sketch made with his pencil.
From such a small point, he continued to create a bigger and more massive sketch with colours.
He then painted the background featuring a big yellow flower. In the end, he completed the body painting.
The artist further said that until now, he had received many positive remarks, with a majority of them agreeing that it’s his best work.
An illusionary masterpiece takes weeks of planning and hours of hard work.
He also explained that the entire idea of how everything will be placed came to him very naturally, but the process took a lot of hard work.
Getting the model in the exact position he wanted to be was the biggest trouble he faced.
Johannes said that even if you do not understand what it is, the painting in itself is truly beautiful.
