The security guard was informed about the bees to ensure the safety of everyone.
A local beekeeper happened to be there in the store at the time who helped to collect the bees and transporting them to a hive.
Amy Whitaker, who was shopping at the supermarket at the time, told Pirate FM: “The couple whose car it was, were very grateful to the Asda staff and the beekeeper who all helped. I believe that a similar incident happened over at Philips pasty shop at Hayle just last week.”
The terrifying pictures of the incident were posted on the ‘Anything Hayle community’ Facebook page and Internet users were left shocked.
One user wrote: ‘I think i would have panicked and called off work…..i think its a VALID excuse to miss work, but take a pic cuz you know your boss still gonna ask you if you coming in. Lmao’.
Another user said: “They are harmless and docile like that if left alone. If it’s your property they are resting on call a beekeeper or the council.”
“They are in the process of moving house and swarming is natural. It is also one of nature’s wonders like birds flocking. Bees will only sting if angered and in defense of the hive – it’s fatal for the bee – so allow them to do their thing, keep calm and keep kids away.”
Well, the incident left everyone shocked but thankfully, everyone was safe.
