Hunter Biden admitted to smoking anything that resembled crack cocaine as he opened up about his drug addiction and the FBI probe.
Speaking about his darkest times, the president’s son told Tracy Smith of CBS Sunday Morning just how bad his addiction had gotten before his father decided to intervene.
“I spent more times on my hands and knees picking through rugs smoking anything that even remotely resembled crack cocaine. I probably smoked more parmesan cheese than anyone that you know,” Hunter said with a smile on his face.
He went on to reveal that his father “ditched the Secret Service” and staged a major intervention during his time as Vice President. “You’re not fine,” Biden reportedly told his son as he called him out over his drug abuse.
In a Friday teaser for another segment of the bombshell interview, the 51-year-old also recalled the time his father broke into tears and begged him to get himself in order after chasing him down a driveway.
“I can say this. I’m cooperating completely and I’m absolutely certain, 100 per cent certain, that at the end of the investigation that I will be cleared of any wrongdoing,” the president’s son added as he talked to Smith about the FBI probe into his taxes.
Hunter also spoke out about the Burisma controversy as he admitted he didn’t think securing a spot on the board of the Ukrainian company was wrong.
“No, I don’t think I made a mistake taking a spot on that board. I think I made a mistake in terms of underestimating the – the way in which it would be used against me,” the businessman admitted.
After being confronted about his alleged naivety, he added: “I’m being as honest with you as I possibly can. All I know, is that not one investigative body, not one serious journalist have ever accused – has ever come to the conclusion that I did anything wrong, or that my father did anything wrong.”
