The father was listening to his daughter’s innocent stories about her day when one information left him baffled.

Peter’s daughter recalled that when she returned home from school, her mother wasn’t there but their male neighbor’s head popped out of his front door and said that her mom would ‘be right out.’

That’s when he became suspicious and he immediately asked his wife of 14 years why she had been in their neighbor’s home.

Peter wrote on Reddit: “So I confronted my wife the next day and just like any cheater she tried to lie at first and then she finally broke down.

“She swears that all they did was kiss and touch then she stopped it because it felt wrong.”

Peter was completely heartbroken by the shocking revelation. He knew exactly how his wife acted when she was lying, so when she said that she had not slept with the neighbor, he could tell that she was not being honest.

“I know how she lies to everybody, and how good she is at it,” Peter shared. “So I believe that it went further than the kissing.”

Peter also said that the two even exchanged flirty text messages and naked photos behind their spouses’ backs.

“She just said that it was just wrong and stopped immediately,” Peter shared. “She said that when it was texting it wasn’t real and when it got down to it in real life she felt like she was going to vomit.

“But I just don’t see two adults stopping given the opportunity to do what they had been talking about for three weeks.”

Peter initially kicked her out of the house but he changed his mind, saying he did it ‘for the kids.’

Reddit users were quick to give him an advice, with one commenting: “I think at this point you have to assume she did cheat on you and then ask yourself whether you can forgive her.”

Another wrote: “Counselling is a good first start. She is going to have to make major reparations to repair the relationship. She might not be up to the task. Good luck.”

A third added: “Whatever happens, remember to be good to yourself, and try to keep your head above water.”
