You might have heard “Marriage is like a workshop where the husband works and woman shops” but a recent study has proven something different.

A recent study conducted by “Today” shows that married women experience more stress than single moms because of workload, mom’s responsibilities, and marriage. Although kids definitely play a role in giving the stress but the major role is played by husbands.
The study shows that almost 50% of the wives think that their husbands give them more stress than the kids and the reasons are so true that you will definitely agree with them.

1) Husbands acting like an extra child

Fathers in their 40’s act like friends and crime-partners with their kids while moms are more concerned about discipline, health and grooming of their child, and being strict most of the times make them look like a villain.

One of the moms says, “A 7-year-old is going to be a 7-year-old. But 35-year-old acting like a 7-year-old is more stressful because they should know better.”
And because of this behavior of dads, sometimes conflict arises between both the partners causing stress to the moms.

2) Husbands not helping enough

According to one of the research, 1 out of 5 moms thinks that they don’t receive enough support from their husbands which is the main reason behind the stress.

While husbands are enjoying most of their free times, moms on the other hands are busy cooking, cleaning, going for groceries, teaching kids and planning the budget.

Although these activities are very important for any family, one person handling all the stuff is not the right option.
Doing household chores alone is one of the major sources of stress for moms and it is considered more stressful than office work.

3) Mothers always lack free time

We all need to have free time where we can do the stuff we like for example playing the piano, watching movies, hanging out with friends. But considering the house chores as we talked above, wives hardly get free time to relax.
Now since they have to do all the stuff by themselves in order to find little time to relax and all they got is ’24 hours’, this leads to ‘time stress’.

One of the women says, “I feel like I am figuring out a lot about parenting on my own without the input of my husband. This stresses me out because when something goes wrong, it is all my fault.”
