Woman Escaped Her Bad Boyfriend With The Help Of Her Dog

In the U.S. alone, 2 out of 3 female homicide cases deal with killings by family member or intimate partner.

When Amanda Tromp first adopted a Siberian husky named Kyro, she was in an abusive relationship.

At that time, she “had lost all hopes of escaping,” according to her post on Buzzfeed.

Initially, Amanda didn’t know that Kyro would be able to help her.

But, as she was taking care of Kyro, Amanda realized that she was the one benefiting more. She was gaining more energy thanks to him. According to Amanda, Kyro “became [her] excuse to go on adventures and escape the situation.”

Then, one day, her abusive boyfriend when he began to target Kyro with his rage.

That’s when Amanda finally left her boyfriend, thus successfully escaping from the never-ending abuse.

“Kyro was, and is my world – I couldn’t bare to see anything happen to him. His blue eyes were a motivation to seek happiness that I couldn’t ignore,” wrote Amanda.

“If I didn’t have Kyro, I wouldn’t have anyone. We really saved each other.

After escaping from the abuse, Amanda decided to travel all around the world with her favorite companion, Kyro.
While traveling and taking photos of Kyro, Amanda found her passion for photography.
Now, this duo – now nicknamed as Goldilocks and the Wolf – takes amazing photos in the wilderness.

And Amanda says that these photos and her story would become an inspiration for others who may be suffering from an abusive relationship.

“I found my four-legged Knight – who knows where yours is waiting,” said Amanda.

Bouncing back from being involved in an abusive relationship must have been very tough. I’m glad that Amanda found her comfort in Kyro, and is even willing to share her own painful experience to help out the others.
