Prince Harry is making it clear to the world that he’s on a mission.
The Duke of Sussex revealed how he’s keen on making his mother’s legacy and vision come to life. And if that means fulfilling her landmine legacy then so be it.
Harry mentioned how he looks at this as a task that needs to be fulfilled and he will do everything in his power to fulfill it. “It’s a legacy that must be taken incredibly seriously”- the Prince mentioned in an emotional speech on Monday.
The Duke of Sussex spoke at the event in New York City to show support for the Halo Trust which is the charity that gained so much international acclaim when the late Princess walked through the active landmine in Angola in 1997. This was a major move to call for a ban on the matter.
Harry recalled how his mother lived a life for others and helping people in need was her biggest wish. This is why he plans on doing just that in her honor.
Many seated in the audience looked visibly moved by the gesture and tone of compassion in Harry’s voice. They wished the Prince well for his mission and looked to see more updates on the project soon.
