It is incredible to see how people in a small country like UK have immense cultural differences!
Just like other countries with varying names of clothes, customs et al, people of UK began disagreeing on what to call an ice pop. Contrasting names are used in different parts of the country.
They call it as bun, cob, bap, barm and what not! The rising temperatures give rise to the debate that can mess up with one’s head.
To begin with, an ice pop is covered with plastic. The topmost portion is the cold, yummy part that may change the color of your mouth. BEWARE!
The plastic edge may cut your mouth. In the middle is the broken section, especially designed for you to hold so that your fingers do not freeze. Then appears the second part of the top to favor your tongue. The best part is the juice in the end to save your day!
The ones who call it as ice pop do not bother to listen what others call it as. According to them, this minority is not allowed to have an opinion.
There are weird and wonderful terms for this food that is available in different colors. These include tiptop, ice pole, and even freezie! This baffles the mind truly!
Everyone was busy with their lives until one fine person thought of calling this plastic tube multi-colored fairy as an ice pole.
It became complicated for people to decide if this summer elegance should be known as an ice pop or an ice pole.
Another person made it even worse when he asked people through a tweet if they are ice pole people or ice cream. The ice cream people unanimously won. However, this further led to a debate of what on earth is an ice pole. Somebody later suggested naming it as a freeze rod.
Whether they now call it as an ice pole or an ice pop, the term freeze rod is definitely not getting famous.
