A nurse who works in intensive care recently shared the photograph of her exhausted face, which is bruised by wearing PPE gears for thirteen hours a day.
She did so to keep individuals inside their houses for Easter.
Aimée Goold, who is from East Retford, Nottinghamshire, posted a heartbreaking picture on Facebook, which gained thousands of comments and shares.
Aimée Goold works at Doncaster & Bassetlaw Teaching Hospital and said that she was working for sixty-five hours every week amidst the coronavirus crisis.
She urged people to remember this exhausted nurse’s face before they think of stepping out on the weekend.
She used her photograph for the same where her face was covered in red marks and welts across her nose and cheeks while wearing her uniform.
In her long and emotional post, Aimée Goold described her photo as being reality’s face and to show how going through hell looked like.
She revealed that she had not seen her family members for almost a month and put her life in danger every day to save the life of others but vowed to keep fighting coronavirus from the frontline.
She also noted that she was holding dying patient’s hands to make sure they were not alone during the last moments of their lives.
She further wrote that her face represents those who would carry on fighting against the deadly disease despite everything.
She further wrote that this face is of someone who was feeling proud standing on the frontline alongside all the key workers. She also presented her wish for the lockdown to get over.
So, she urged everyone to stay indoors so that the NHS can save the lives of people and protect everyone around them.
