In today’s society that is moving towards a more sedentary lifestyle, it is very important for all people to stay active and healthy throughout their lives.
If you want to eat healthy food for losing weight, your nutrition experts will advise you to cut or avoid some foods as part of a healthy diet.
Wraps: Do you know that nutritionists prefer bread to wraps, yes you heard it right. “Many people don’t realize how many calories are in the average restaurant wrap,” says Bealert. Most wraps contain around 300 calories, which can affect your weight immediately. Bealert says instead of wraps you can eat two slices of whole-grain bread which contain just 200 calories with the added bonus of extra fiber.
Nut milk: Cow’s milk is the most nutritional option, says Samantha Lynch, RD, founder of Samantha Lynch Nutrition.
One cup of non-fat milk just contains 8 grams of protein and only 82 calories.
Lynch prefers health benefits of low-fat dairy, she doesn’t like nut milk, because there are some ingredients which are not good in many varieties of store-bought nut milk.
Protein bars: We often eat protein bars in terms of health benefit. We prefer these sweet bars after a workout especially.
The protein amount in protein bars is in a massive amount which we don’t need actually.
“Thirty grams of protein is too much for most people at one time for a snack,” says Bealert. There are many unknown ingredients in these bars which is not from food, says Bealert.Chocolate milk is a much better post-gym snack than protein bars.
It contains the carbs and protein your body craves but in a limited amount.Juice: We think juice is the most healthy choice for breakfast.
But Keren Gilbert, RD and founder of, says it’s not that simple.
In the process of juicing, many good things found in fruits or veggies left behind. “When you juice something, you’re taking all the vitamins and sugars and leaving out all of the fiber,” she says.
Fried food: We all love fried food and we also know the bad impact of fried food on our health. Fries, sweet potato, chicken fingers, and onion rings are the default side dish to meals everywhere.
It is expensive in comparison to the portion size but we still eat this.
The more we eat, the more loss we get. “If you’re going to have fried food, share it,” she says. “Or order the smallest size possible, and keep it to once in a while at best.” Even better, Zied says, you can make fried foods at home, such as baked fresh-cut fries with a drizzle of olive oil.
