Martha Colt, mother of the inbred children, was found guilty living with her brother on a farm that did not meet requirements of maintaining a healthy environment for her family.
The police had tracked her down while arresting her, she is one of the six family members that face prison for demonstrating incest tendencies, twelve children were a result of the breeding.
Charlie Colt had slept with Martha, reported to have had sex in a “marital bed.” Martha was charged with perjury while Charlie faced charges of being a host of offences alongside six counts of sexual intercourse with minors under the age of 10.
There were at least 38 members of the incest family that was found by the police, claiming that they had been living in tents and shacks on the farm in southern New South Wales.
Twelve of the children suffered from facial deformities, speech difficulties, and disgusting hygiene.
They could not read and was constantly malnourished, having to sleep next to buckets of feces and urine since they had no idea how to use the toilet properly.
Some deformities included children that had a walking impairment and sever psoriasis, another child had problems with their sight and another had eyes that were not aligned correctly.
Most of Colt’s children were a result of sexual relationships that were involved with either a sibling or a parent, which in effect produced the many children that lived on the farm.
It is reported that they were used to torture the genitalia of animals while having sex with other family members such as their cousins, uncles, and aunts.
The police had discovered the family after several reports of “significant harm,” and some of the people around the area had incidents of hearing children living in the woods, being unkempt and cared for a mother who had their brother as a father.
With this information, the police was able to track down the whole family, their household did not contain plumbing or running water.

The leader of the “colt” was Betty Colt, believed to be their daughter. When the children were removed, they had scattered all over Australia. The cult had been arrested over three states.
