My Kitchen Rules judge Manu Feildel has communicated his stun at the huge amount of cash raised to revamp the Notre Dame Church in Paris.
He took help of Instagram to post how he finds it incredibly disturbing that €750million was raised in 24 hours for the church whereas, kids in Africa are starving to death and nothing is being done.
The 45-year-old posted a viral image of the Parisian milestone alongside a photograph of starving kids in Africa, unmistakably inferring that the cash could be better spent on helpful issues.
Manu’s announcement was met with many strong remarks, with a large portion of his adherents concurring that the cash could be better spent somewhere else. People liked how he took a stand, irrespective of his fame and position in society.
“I can’t trust they spend quite a lot of cash on a structure rather than spending such a great amount to support poor people,” one individual commented.
“The way this originated from a French man who isn’t blinded by the media influences us to understand that there is trust in this world. Legend!” another commented.
It is natural that a lot of people did not take the entire thing in a positive way. Be that as it may, Manu likewise got some criticism for his remark, with certain individuals advising the celeb cook to give his own cash to the causes he is concerned about.
People commented asking him if the profits from his restaurant were feeding the starving children or not. Another one commented asking Manu the amount of his earning that he donates for the cause.
On the evening of 15th April, the Notre-Dame de Paris went up on fire, leaving France and the universal community upset.
A flame that started before 6:50 pm local time burst through the top of the hundreds of year old cathedral and immersed the tower, which crumbled, immediately pursued by the whole rooftop.
The massive flame devastated large parts of the property and the iconic spire of the cathedral came trembling down.
