While Trump complained about the tensions between the US and India caused by trade disputes, he said he’s on good terms with the country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“We are not treated very well by India, but I happen to like the prime minister a lot. He told me we will have 7 million people between the airport and the event,” the president said.

“The stadium, I understand, is going semi-under construction, but it is going to be the largest stadium in the world. It’s going to be very exciting, but he says between the stadium and the airport, we will have about 7 million people. It’s going to be very exciting.”

In preparations for Trump’s visit, the Indian government began erecting a 1,640-foot-long wall that was built in order to block Trump’s view of the slums according to critics.

However, senior official Bijal Patel dismissed these allegations and claimed that the wall was put in place “for security reasons.”

In addition, Patel said that the wall “is also part of a beautification and cleanliness drive.”
