Have you ever wondered how currency notes taste like? Well, you should contact this group of Indian rats, if you know and understand their language!
A group of rats entered into a cash machine and nibbled on bank notes worth 1.2 million rupees (£13,000). The incident occurred in Tinkusia district of the Eastern state of Assam. This heist was detected when people complained about the faulty ATM.
When the bank officials came to check the machine last week, they were dumbfounded by what they saw. When the machine was opened, the officials found a dead rat inside the machine and the shredded currency notes.
The district Police Superintendent Mugdhajyoti Dev Mahanta said that in the investigation they found no criminal conspiracy that could explain the incident.
There was some opening in the machine, which served as an entrance for the rats. In the picture, an upended ATM with shredded and torn 2000 and 500-rupee bills were seen.
The ATM had suddenly stopped to dispense cash due to which a complaint was registered in the bank. When the officials came to check they saw the aftermath of a dinner party of the rats.
