The step has been taken to combat the uncontrollable spread of coronavirus.

According to the chemical manufacturer, the new factory will be based in Middlesbrough and the sanitizers prepared by it will be supplied to the UK and Europe.

The pandemic has gotten worse in the last few days. More than 9,000 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in the UK with over 460 deaths so far.

The government has advised all the citizens to stay at their homes and to wash their hands frequently besides using sanitizers every few minutes.

The multinational company further announced that it will be giving sanitizers to the hospitals in the UK, entirely free of cost.

The need for the production of more and more sanitizers arose after the panic-struck people purchased all the available bottles until the shelves were left empty.

The products which are no longer available in UK stores and supermarkets were hoarded by people and groups who are now selling them on eBay and Amazon with increased prices.

Ineos has already been manufacturing medicinal and personal care articles such as rubber gloves, syringes, medical tubing, PVC saline drips, and ventilators.

Ineos isn’t the only company that is playing its part to help people prevent the deadly virus.

BrewDog has recently pledged to produce sanitizer in its distillery plants. The brewery chain has also announced that it will be giving free hand sanitizers to the needy.

Meanwhile, France-based luxury goods company, LVMH has said it will be using its perfume distilleries to manufacture hand sanitizers from now on.
