It was in 2003 when Mike Tyson was declared bankrupt, and one of the things that he had to let go was his prized mega-mansion in Connecticut.
The 50,000-square-foot property boasts 52 rooms, including 21 bedrooms, multiple game rooms, and two pools. The entrance is marked with a stately front gate and a lion statue.
The home is ideal for someone who loves having a lot of people around. There are indoor and outdoor basketball courts that allow owners to stay active without having to go out.
There is also a room with roulette tables and poker, and more game rooms with pool tables. There is no need to visit Las Vegas to have fun.
A scenic pond next to the basketball court gives a relaxing feeling and as if rooms 21 are not enough, there is also a guest house overlooking the water.
Rapper 50 Cent then purchased the mega mansion for $4.1 million the year it was announced that Tyson blew his wealth.
When the rapper purchased the property, it became the most expensive home ever sold in the area. With 21 bedrooms, 25 bathrooms, a recording studio, an indoor court, and indoor pool, and a green-screen room, it is easy to understand why.
But the lavish property has seen numerous price cuts over the past 12 years. 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis James Jackson III, sold the mansion for $2.9 million.
It has dropped in value due to its running costs that the rapper complained cost him around $60,000 per month.
Jonathan Miller, an estate agent, told Realtor.com: “It’s just oversized for the market. When you have a property that is well outside the norm, it takes a lot longer to sell.”
The property was reportedly bought by US businessman Casey Askar.
