Many inventions are created by the minute.
The most recent technological advancement we’ve seen is a functional jetpack that Richard Browning presented to the US military defense department.
Richard, who’s a former Royal Marines Reservist, showcased his invention by flying around the Royal Navy’s latest aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth.

Fueled by top-of-the-line technology, the suit has finally made flying like the Ironman a reality.
Richard is the founder and chief pilot of Gravity Industries, which developed the suit. He went all the way to United States Naval Academy, Annapolis, to act as the host of the Atlantic Future Forum on HMS Queen Elizabeth.
The event consisted of a number of sections, all of them aimed at making a collaboration of inventors and investors to expand the horizons of military and defense capability.
Gravity Industries is regarded as the front-end leader of innovation in the field of defense capabilities in the UK.
They were invited by the Royal Navy and the British Embassy in the US to bring their latest inventions to the event.
The video of Richard’s flight shows him taking off from HMS Queen Elizabeth, hovering over the ship and going towards the ocean before returning to the ship.
Richard holds the Guinness World Record for the fastest speed in a jet-powered suit after clocking in at 85mph.
Speaking at the event, Richard said: “We were honored to be invited to support this year’s Atlantic Future Forum and demonstrate the capabilities of Gravity’s jet engine-powered suit to this audience.
“We are passionate about supporting UK plc trade and innovation, and our work with the Royal Navy is part of an ongoing program of exploration and demonstration of our tactical mobility capability.
“This exploration is alongside our core focus, which is scaling more than 90+ events across 30 countries, into becoming an international race series.”
