He had inherited his first boaterhome from his father and the second one he had bought ten years back.
This is a limited edition model that is not just great as a vehicle, home, and boat, but also as a party venue that can be spotted frequently on the Las Vegas strip.
John said that there’s no one who doesn’t love the fun and energy associated with boaterhomes.
There are only twenty-one boaterhomes existing in the world and the model that John inherited from his father was modelled on a Ford Econoline Van made in the eighties.
He has kept the actual design of this boaterhome. So, there’s the fiberglass at the back and the points where the van was cut to add the boat.
He has made some changes to it, though, for making the interiors bigger. There is fully-functional kitchen, a foldable dining table, and a king-size bed inside the vehicle.
John fondly remembers travelling over the country in the boaterhome with his father. They had taken into California and camped inside it in Durmont Dunes.
John found the advertisement for his second model ten years ago. The seller was asking nearly $30,000 for it, but since it was in a dilapidated condition, he got it for $11,000.
He has been remodeling it ever since, and he wants to maintain that eighties touch in the final product that takes shape. He wants it to be a double-decker and a smart boat.
John said that the first boaterhome is like his family heirloom because it belonged to his dad and the second one is a blank page that he can give shape as he wants.
