It is important for children to learn how to respect their elders as they will carry this behavior when they grow up.
Sometimes, the elderlies need help even with simple tasks. Fortunately, many people are more than willing to give a helping hand to our elders. One generous person who doesn’t pick any date and time to help others is Chris Carter.
While driving with his family, Chris noticed an old man mowing the lawn. He couldn’t bear to let him do the work alone, so instead of passing by, he turned to his wife Tara and did something incredible.
Luckily, Tara shared what happened on Facebook. At first, she didn’t know what her husband was up to, but when she realized what he wanted to do next, her heart melted.
“This is one of the many reasons I love my husband. As we are driving home with Kylie and Gage, Chris suddenly turns the jeep around and says, ‘Take the food home and come back and get me.’ I didn’t know what he had seen but said okay,” she wrote.
Chris hopped out of the car and approached the stranger. The old man looked like he was struggling with the chore.
“We pull up and Chris takes the push mower from this elderly gentleman. I pray that my son learns from this and randomly helps people do things like his father does.”
His sons will certainly follow Chris’ actions. They can see how important it is to honor and respect our elders. We need people like Chris to show our youth and the future generation how to act generously!
He did not do it for recognition or attention; Chris is just simply a good person who is ready to help people in need. He saw someone struggling, and he came right away to assist. The elderly man was grateful for the help of this Good Samaritan. Sometimes, small things like this mean the world to others.
