The world is fighting with a pandemic with hundreds and hundreds of people dying every single day.
While coronavirus had originated in China where about 81,000 people have been found positive with the infection, Italy is coming out to be the worst sufferer of the pandemic.
Till the present minute, Italy has registered 74,386 positive cases of coronavirus. The total death bar in the country has reached the massive heights of 7,503 people till now.
3,489 people are still in a critical condition and more and more people every single day are coming in with the need of getting into the ICU.
The hospitals are overcrowded and the country is facing a serious lack of space to admit more and more patients. The medical force of the country is left exhausted.
The doctors, paramedical staff, the ambulance drivers, and every single person involved is working extremely hard to save as many lives as they can.
To fight the same, the country needs more space to treat people. This is why Italy has planned to make an emergency hospital out of shipping containers.
An international task force that includes designers, medical professionals, engineers, and military experts landed in together with the idea of creating CURA. CURA is a project that upholds several Intensive Care Units (ICU) in one building.
The creators of CURA had a great idea after working very hard. They landed upon a decision of making an emergency hospital out of Shipping containers.
The containers will be serving as pods for the patients of coronavirus. The hospital is designed by Carlo Ratti and Italo Rota, Italian architects who are extremely popular for their exceptional designs.
The designers said that these containers can be piled up as quickly as tents but will serve as safe as award inside the building.
The pods can be conveniently transported and are easy to be deployed without too much of the work needed.
