Noth Italy was shaken after an earthquake that took place in Tuscany amidst the growing outbreak of coronavirus.
The earthquake was of 2.6 magnitudes that scared people out of their homes. It happened around 2.17 pm local time, as reported by the Institute of Geophysics.
The epicenter was said to be located in Lucca province with a depth of 5 miles, as reported by ANSA. Initially, there were no reports of structural or human damage due to tremors.
According to the locals, they just felt vibrations from the ground. In some places, people poured out from their homes in search of a rescue place.
This earthquake happened when the coronavirus outbreak has touched a death toll of 463 in Italy. There are more than 9000 confirmed cases that are under observation.
Giuseppe Conte, the Italy Prime Minister, has said that people should give up on something to safeguard the health of citizens.
According to the government, people who even have slight fever must stay indoors and avoid traveling. It is essential for people to take precautionary measures to reduce the severity of the issue.
The government has strictly asked citizens to avoid public gatherings like weddings, funerals, sports events, and etc.
Italy has to take things into hands and be more responsible for the outbreak. The number of cases is increasing, and Italian hospitals are in need of more staff and bedding to accommodate the patients.
To resolve the issue, the Italian society of anesthesiology and intensive care has formed 15 recommendations for doctors to decide the admissions.
The government and citizens of Italy have to stand together in fighting this virus outbreak. It has become more than necessary to reduce the patient count and control the death toll. And it can only happen with the cumulative efforts of all the citizens.
