Ivanka and her husband Jared are quietly distancing away from Ex-POTUS Donald Trump over complaints about the 2020 election, reports claim.
The former President has been known to rant for hours about the “stolen” 2020 election. His feelings come out in fits and spurts at other times, most frequently when he’s talking about his hopes for a comeback to national politics.
According to a dozen former administration officials and confidantes, the gap between the former president and his daughter and son-in-law is widening as he complains ceaselessly about his election loss to President Biden and casts doubt on Kushner’s accomplishments during his presidency, despite his litany of eye-popping duties, including being tasked with achieving peace in the Middle East.point 461 | 1
Sources have said that Ivanka has struggled to straighten out the mess caused by her father’s years in the White House, as she seeks a less difficult life for her family. They said she had to walk a narrow path between embracing her father and distance herself from his election issues.
Having spent much of the last five-and-a-half years near Donald, the couple were rarely seen with him in the months leading up to the former President’s seasonal shift from living at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, to living in a cottage at his private golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey.
“They weren’t around for the usual spring and summer events at Mar-a-Lago,” says one clubgoer and family friend, noting the absence of Trump’s elder daughter and the couple’s three young children.
While Jared’s presence, physically and virtually, has become increasingly rare as it became clear that his father-in-law remained fixated with the 2020 election.
“He was kind of like a parent who sticks around less and less each morning while they’re transitioning their kid to daycare,” a source has said.
According to an insider, Donald complained about a book deal that Jared has acquired and he is worried that his son-in-law would use the book to take credit for Trump Administration achievements.
The former president is reportedly jealous of the book deal, which according to Jared’s associate is worth seven figures and was struck with Broadside Books, the conservative wing of HarperCollins.
However, close friends of Jared say he is used to backlash from the former president and knows “Trump acknowledges his successes.”
Ivanka and Jared seem to be desperately trying to recover what’s left of their reputations in the wake of Donald Trump’s presidency.
