Ivanka Trump stood alongside her father as he celebrated his second presidential victory, but insiders reveal she and her husband Jared Kushner have no plans to rejoin the White House.
After relocating to Miami, the couple, both 43, have shifted focus to family and life outside of politics, leaving their past roles as senior advisers in the 2017-2020 administration behind.
Following their move to Florida, Ivanka and Kushner settled on Indian Creek Island, known as the “Billionaire’s Bunker,” where neighbors include prominent figures like Tom Brady and Jeff Bezos. Friends report that their Washington tenure cost them relationships with some of their more liberal connections.
Sources close to Ivanka describe her as proud of her father yet keen to maintain her distance from a direct political role. “She loves her father but found his last presidency taxing, especially as some friends turned away,” one source shared. “She’s at a point where she doesn’t need to be in the White House to make a difference.”
Ivanka plans to continue her influence outside of formal government roles, focusing on issues she previously championed in the White House, such as child internet safety and anti-trafficking efforts. “Expect to see her working with tech leaders and advocating for these causes,” another source stated. Ivanka had also worked on economic empowerment and education for women and families, initiatives she may still pursue in her private capacity.
Kushner, too, has no intention of stepping back into a public role, although he may advise the transition team if needed. Both Ivanka and Kushner appear focused on family priorities, with a close source explaining, “Ivanka remains consistent in prioritizing her family. If she wishes to share opinions, she will do so privately with her father.”
Ivanka, while stepping back from politics, might still make occasional appearances on issues close to her values. “There’s talk she could lend her voice to discussions on family values, but she has no plans for active political involvement,” a Miami source concluded.
