K. Rowling, the creator of the Harry Potter universe has said that the character Dumbledore was in an intense and intimate gay relationship with character, Gellert Grindelwald.
She opened up about Dumbledore’s sexuality on Blu-ray and DVD prints of the movie “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald,” according to a report.
She said “The relationship Albus Dumbledore had was extremely intense. He had an immense passion for his relationship and it was all love.”
But just like any other relationship is it between people of any sexuality, one is never able to know what is running through the other’s mind.
What are the emotions they are going through? She said, “You cannot rely on it you see, you just cannot believe and rely on it.”
She said “There is no sexual side to this relationship. I meant they definitely would be one sexual side just like any other relationship but that is not what I wish to think about because it is not fascinating to me.
Love is what is fascinating. Right? A love relationship is a fascinating one and that is what I see with Dumbledore.
In the movie, the relationship between the two has not been shown at all. Even the emotions they have for one another have not been highlighted enough to catch the audience’s eye.
The disclosure of this gay sexuality was not really taken well by Camp Intersectionality. Rowling was poked and made fun about her confession for his sexuality.
One critic via Twitter disgusted Rowling for revealing Dumbledore’s sexuality and his imaginary sexual life. The user said that she is disgusting for coming up with the same and it is completely acceptable to make fun of her for it.
The user said that unless the editor has cropped some naked or gay sex scenes from the movie, she is doing it all for the attention.
