China’s richest man Jack Ma just revealed that he wants to fight former boxing world champion, Floyd Mayweather.
In a video shared on social media by boxing legend Manny Pacquiao, Jack Ma, who is worth $37 billion, can be seen beating the pads in preparation for a possible match.
Manny took a break from the workout and said to the camera: “Floyd Mayweather, if you want a real fight, fight me. If you want an exhibition, my guy, my friend, Jack Ma will take care of you.”
Jack Ma also added: “I am ready. Any time, any place.”
Even though Mayweather has competed in many exhibition matches since he professionally retired with a record of 50-0, it is not likely that he is going to enter the ring and fight against the founder of tech firm Alibaba.
But what’s more likely is that the Filipino legend, Pacquiao, is looking for another match against Floyd, who managed to beat him in 2015. It is still the richest boxing match in history, according to Mirror.
Mayweather said to TMZ: “I know what he (Manny) said. When he finally faces me, I’ll beat him.”
When asked about Ma, Mayweather replied: “Who? I don’t even know who he is.”
The two are not the only ones having a war on social media. Conor McGregor, one of Mayweather’s former opponents, also challenged the unbeatable boxer.
Floyd is technically retired but he has been tipped to come back for an exhibition fight despite turning 43 in 2020.
As of 2019, Floyd’s net-worth is around $750 million, according to Forbes.
Ma, the co-founder and former executive chairman of Alibaba group, is worth $38.5 billion, making him one of the richest people in the world.
