The wealthiest man of China, Jack Ma, has promised to send 20,000 test kits, 100,000 face masks, and 1000 medical use suits for protection to every country in Africa.
The billionaire whose worth is £32.3billion will be donating anti-coronavirus medical equipment to every all the fifty-four countries in Africa in order to prevent the outbreak from happening on the continent.
The fifty-five-year-old business tycoon has also urged each country to take action immediately and avoid being irresponsible after the center of Covid-19 outbreak shifted from Hubei in China to Europe.
Countries in Africa have been amongst the last to be affected by coronavirus pandemic. As the cases are rising, several countries are taking strict actions to clock Covid-19, the deadly disease.
Jack Ma is proving the goods via Alibaba Foundation and Jack Ma Foundation.
Apart from this, these two organizations will start working with African medical institutions by offering online training material for coronavirus clinical treatment.
All the supplies including six million masks, 60,000 protective suits, and 1.1 million testing kits would be flown to the capital of Ethiopia, Addis Ababa.
Abiy Ahmed, the Prime Minister of Ethiopia has agreed to aid Mr. Ma in distributing relief supplies to other nations.
Alibaba’s founder, Jack Ma, also said that the crisis due to coronavirus if prove to be highly challenging and lasting longer than any person had expected.
He added that everyone should make every effort for getting prepared, as it can be gathered by the past two months that by taking the virus seriously and being proactive, this deadly disease can be contained.
The self-made billionaire once used to be an English teacher has donated millions of test kits and masks to several countries, including South Korea and Japan to support containment of this fast-spreading contagion.
