James Blunt, English singer-songwriter most well known for his 2004 classic ‘You’re Beautiful’, was struck with scurvy back in his uni days.
Scurvy being a disease preventable by a healthy dose of lime (or any other sort of vitamin supplements), the curiosity grows as into how a modern-era, well-fed British person would get a disease most common in 17th century sailors. The singer is now 46, and has expostulated that his stubbornness and complete absence of awareness on nutrition has led one of the most embarrassing experiences in his university days. Related symptoms, by the way, include weakness, soreness in the limbs and general queasiness.
