Jane Fonda has opened up about her fantasies as she admitted daydreaming about meeting a younger man even though she is no longer interested in sex.
As the 83-year-old actress, activist, and a former fashion model admitted, she believes she is no longer after sexual relationships. That, however, doesn’t stop her from fantasizing about hooking up with younger guys.
“I don’t want to be in a relationship, a sexual relationship, again. I don’t have that desire,” the Academy Award winner for best actress in Klute and Coming Home revealed in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar.
“Do I fantasize? Yes, here’s my fantasy. I’ll just put it out there. That I meet a professor or a researcher, somebody in that line who is really capable of loving, of cherishing a woman, so that I could test myself and see if I could show up.”
As Jane went on to add, she would definitely want a younger man because she’s “too vain” to get over issues concerning aging skin.
“I think maybe now I could, but the problem is that, like a man, I would want a younger man. Isn’t that awful? It’s a thing about skin. I would want a younger man, and I’m too vain.”
This month, Fonda made history as she became the oldest star in 153 years to be featured on the cover for Harper’s Bazaar.
During her interview with the publication, the 83-year-old also admitted she no longer feels capable of being intimate.
“It’s not them. It’s me. If a guy had come along and said, ‘Come on, Fonda, show up,’ I would have run away scared,” the actress said.
“I was attracted to men who never would have done that to me because they couldn’t necessarily show up themselves. I didn’t know that at the time, but now I know. I don’t think I can do anything about it now, but that’s the truth, as Lily would say. That’s the truth.”
