Ja’net DuBois, the actress left everyone in shock as she passes away at the age of 74 in her sleep.
The brilliant actress who has won the Emmy award 2 times went to sleep and never woke up. She passed away in her sleep on Tuesday night as she was resting peacefully in her bed in her California house.
DuBois veteran actress was majorly known for her role in the comedy show Good Times back in the 1970s’. There is another achievement as she made history. Yes, she became the very first African-American woman to have a permanent role in a soap opera called Love of Life by CBS.
She played the role of Loretta Allen in the show that ran from 1971 to 1972.
DuBois was in good health and was not fragile at all. She was spotted just a few days ago by people as she walked down the street shopping. The mother three died suddenly but she died as a happy woman.
The last movie she worked in was She’s Got A Plan that came out in the year 2016. Before that, she was a part of the popular G.I Joe Renegades.
DuBois was born to her parents in the year 1945 in Brooklyn and as soon as she gained maturity she started learning acting. She started her career by performing at the Broadway.
She performed several and some of the most prominent plays of her time in the 1950s and 1960s. She then got her first break in Hollywood in 1966 and since then she had only been growing.
