A janitor who was recently found guilty for filming away 12 high school students as they used the school’s restroom has now been given a 60-year long jail term.
Derremy Walker made headlines for his outrageous behavior that appalled so many individuals in the month of June. And that’s when authorities revealed his sickening behavior as he tried to hide beneath the sink to carry out his master recording.
The former janitor worked at a high school in Florida and that’s where he carried out that beyond outrageous act against dozens of young female students who were mostly enrolled in the high school program, as revealed by federal prosecutors recently.
As an ex- contracted janitor, Derremy delivered his duties accordingly but he made sure he was in close sight of the young women whenever they chose to use the restroom at Oviedo High School. But how did anyone figure out about his behavior is a question on so many people’s minds.
Well, it’s all thanks to the bravery and brains of two young 15-year-old students who caught him in the act. The girls saw the janitor actively filming others inside the school’s bathroom, hidden in a secret manner, right below the restroom’s sink area in the year 2019.
“This man certainly did more than just give rise to horror. He also is guilty of stealing away the innocence as well as the trust of several other young victims too,” explained state prosecutors.
After finding him guilty of the behavior, the woman immediately snatched away his cellphone and reportedly ran into the school administrator’s office, while also alerting police officials present in the area.
After hearing the women out, Mr. Walker was swiftly dismissed from his regular duties, as reported by WFLA.
Cops also went on to reveal harrowing footage of the suspect as he began to prop up his cellphone against a sink that was actually designed for people with disabilities.
Now, the former janitor will serve a jail sentence of 60 years which many believe is justified for such horrifying behavior.
