Actor Jason Momoa, who is known for his role as the fierce Dothraki king, Khal Drogo, on Game of Thrones, has recently disappointed his fans.
Jason, who is famous for his rugged looks and has millions of fans across the globe, recently got rid of his beard, leaving his fans disappointed.
Though the 39-year-old shaved off his long beard for a good cause, it really disappointed his fans who loved his rugged looks in Game of Thrones and the DC Comics franchise.
Jason shared a video on his YouTube and social media accounts that show him shaving off his beard in the middle of a plastic-filled desert to promote recycling.
He says that the ‘last time I shaved was in 2012’.
‘Most importantly, I just wanna do this to bring awareness. Plastics are killing our planet,’ he says.
This act of Jason left his fans disappointed as one fan said: ‘OMG Jason Momoa. I am not good with change, certainly not good when a beard gets shaved off.’
Another said: ‘Jason just really shocked me to my very core…. HE HAS SHAVED HIS BEARD!!!!! it’s not a drill #distraught.’
Jason explained on his Instagram why he shaved off his beard. He wrote: ‘Goodbye DROGO, AQUAMAN, DECLAN, BABA I’m SHAVING this beast off, It’s time to make a change.’
‘A change for the better…for my kids, your kids, the world. Let’s make a positive change in the health of our planet. Let’s clean up our oceans our land. Join me on this journey. Let’s make the switch to infinitely recyclable aluminum. ♻️♻️♻️ Water in cans, not plastic.’
