Our lives are so much better off by having pets in the house.
After all, even just petting or even looking at them, it’s easy to feel a little relief in our hearts even if we were coming home from a challenging day. The way dogs interact with humans now may be different from how they first formed relationships with our primitive ancestors but the value in that relationship still remains the same.
This is why it’s no surprise that a lot of people find many reasons to keep dogs.

For those with no love life or have no children, dogs can serve as adorable surrogates as we shower our love and affection to them. And for those who do have kids, dogs serve not only as adorable playmates but also fierce protectors in some cases.
So it’s not surprising at all that dogs sometimes get spoiled and come to expect a certain level of attention each and every time. And when this routine is disrupted, they can get jealous and all worked up. And that’s exactly what happened when a mom caught their dog throwing a jealous fit over the new toy dog that her son was playing with.
Abigail Johnson, from Portsmouth, just got her son Charlie a miniature barking dog toy and she didn’t realize that competition for her boy’s affections would ensue.
As Charlie was having fun with the toy, their puppy Lola worked up a fit. She first suspiciously glared at the new toy before giving out a boisterous reaction over Charlie playing with the fake dog.
Abigail just had to record the moment and got her phone out in time. As for Charlie, he was just having fun and giggling the whole time as he tried to shower equal amounts of attention to both dogs.
Abigail said: “I’ve always got my phone on me ready to film Charlie and Lola and send any videos I get over to my partner when he’s at work.
“Charlie and Lola were being naughty again, trying to eat crayons out of our cupboard, so I pulled out the dog toy I’d bought Charlie the day before.
“Lola balked away from it straight away – she was very suspicious and I could see her trying to work out what it was.
“As Charlie played with the toy, Lola was barking like mad and jumping about the carpet, it was hilarious.
“Dogs were a big part of my childhood, so it really makes me smile seeing Charlie grow up with his own furry best friend and I’m so happy we brought Lola into the family.”
