Crazy Heart star Jeff Brides shared an update about his situation months after getting diagnosed with cancer.
Back in October, the beloved 71-year-old actor announced he had been diagnosed with lymphoma and vowed to keep his fans updated as he started treatment.
Now, the Oscar winner revealed he has shaved his head and received a new puppy named Monty. Healthwise, the actor said he’s “feeling good” as he shared a photo of himself with Monty in his lap and the ocean in the background.
“Here’s the latest: Feeling good; Shaved my head; Got a puppy – Monty; Had a Birthday – 71, man,” Bridges wrote in his Twitter post. The actor also shared a link to his website where people can access his latest updates.
Below his most recent picture on the website, the actor expressed his support for musicians including his friend John Goodwin.
“Here’s the next batch of what I want to point out,” he wrote.
“Music – we need it, man & all our musicians are having a hell of a time making a living these days w/ the COVID deal – No venues, can’t play anywhere. Like my dear old friend John Goodwin.”
The updates follow nearly two months after The Big Lebowski star opened up about his diagnosis in a series of tweets that caught his followers by surprise.
“As the Dude would say.. New S**T has come to light. I have been diagnosed with Lymphoma. Although it is a serious disease, I feel fortunate that I have a great team of doctors and the prognosis is good. I’m starting treatment and will keep you posted on my recovery,” Bridges wrote back in October.
“I’m profoundly grateful for the love and support from my family and friends. Thank you for your prayers and well wishes.”
