Jennifer Hudson and Marlon Wayans appeared at the set of the Respect, Aretha Franklin biopic, in Manhattan, this Friday.
38-year-old Jennifer looked stunning image of the late singer as she wore a replica of her style by wearing a flip wig from 1966-era and a long floor-length coat which was the trademark style of the Queen of Soul.
The 38 years old stunner emerged from the 30 Rockefeller Center clad as she wore a stunning golden gown done up with the sequence, carried a matching purse and was dripping in shine as she wore beautiful diamond jewelry.
Jennifer was chosen for the job by the 18 times Grammy winner herself who died in Detroit last year as the 76 years old was suffering from a pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor and was in pain.
It was horrible that she could not win her battle against the tumor but we are always going to remember her as a legend.
Jennifer on the same says that she is not just nervous but is terrified for the same. She says that even though she is terrified that she will be able to justify her role or not, she also says that she is excited and honored to be selected for the role which is going to be a great mark in her life as an artist.
She says “We have been planning about this biopic for over 11 years now ever since we met in New York right after I had won my Oscar.
We met and she discussed with me about her idea of the biopic and I was glad she was interested in making one because it is going to be a pleasure to watch it.”
