Jennifer Lopez got engaged to her former baseball playing beau Alex Rodriguez on Saturday.
Alex announced the news of his engagement with the singer on Instagram. “She said yes,” Rodriguez, 43, captioned a photo of Jennifer wearing her stunning diamond engagement ring as he holds her hand.
The 49-year-old singer also shared a picture on her Instagram including eight black heart emojis in her caption.
Ajay Anand of Rare Carat estimates the stunning stone to be worth around $4.5million.
He said: ‘’Our team of gemologists and diamond PhD’s estimate the emerald-cut diamond is 20 carats and worth around $4.5 million,’’
‘’This estimate is if the stone is D-Flawless,’ before adding ‘since it’s ARod, it very well could be.’’
Andrew Brown, President of WP Diamonds, estimated the gorgeous solitaire diamond ring to be $1million.
‘’It looks to be an emerald cut around 10 carats, likely an extremely good stone—VS in colour and clarity,’’ he told E! News.
But this is not the first time that Jennifer received an elaborate piece of rock or a proposal for that matter.
While on Carpool Karaoke With James Corden, Jennifer admitted that she has ‘had some amazing proposals.’
‘’I don’t want to compare one to the other. They were all pretty spectacular. They were nice.’’
‘’And then there’s some that asked me to marry them and I said no. I’ve been married three times. I’ve been proposed to five times.’’
According to Yahoo, Marc Anthony, with whom she shares twins Max and Emme, proposed to Jennifer in 2004 with an 8.5 blue diamond Harry Winston engagement ring then estimated at $4 million.
She was previously in long-term relationships with former back-up dancer Casper Smart and media mogul Sean Combs.
Alex has been married only once as he was wed to ex-wife Cynthia Curtis from 2002-2008. The two shares daughters Ella, 10, and Natasha, 14.
