Alex Trebek – the longtime host of TV quiz show ‘Jeopardy’, who announced that he has been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer, is still hosting the show and giving answers to the contestants to supply the right questions.
Recently, a man from Las Vegas became a record-breaker after asking all the right questions.
James Holzhauer, 34, won a whopping $110,914 after asking all the right questions in just one day.
He broke the record of Roger Craig who claimed $77,000 in one day nearly a decade ago.
Holzhauer questioned 129 out of 133 answers correctly and won a whopping $110,914 in honor of his daughter’s birthday.
“What is quantum leap? Happy Birthday, Booger” Holzhauer wrote on his board.
Holzhauer, who loves sports and reading children’s books, said that he gained knowledge by reading interesting content in the juvenile section at the library.
“They are chock-full of infographics, pictures and all kinds of stuff to keep the reader engaged.
I couldn’t make it through a chapter of an actual Dickens novel without falling asleep” Holzhauer told The Washington Post.
Trebek, who signed a new contract in May to be Jeopardy host through 2019-2020 even after announcing he has been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer, said to Holzhauer: “Is it too soon to start thinking about Ken Jennings comparisons?”
Ken Jennings is the contestant of the show who spent six months on the show and won millions.
