Gold Rush star Jesse Goins, 60, fell unconscious while on the set of his show and passed away.
According to TMZ, a doctor was on the set of Goins’ Discovery Channel show Gold Rush: Dave Turin’s Lost Mine and gave the TV star CPR before he was rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
An insider also said that it seemed as if the 60-year-old had a heart attack that was so severe, he could no longer be saved.
Goins, who celebrated his 60th birthday in February, is survived by his wife and brother Larry.
His grieving brother took to Facebook and wrote: “Heaven will never be the same!! My brother Jesse went home to be with his Father, Lord and Savior. He will be missed dearly. Love you brother.”
Goins, who had worked on the popular series for 15 seasons, was cleaning in the ‘gold room’ when he suddenly fell unconscious.
But by the time he was found, it was already too late. A doctor tried to revive him and an EMT also attempted to resuscitate him before he was rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
On his latest show, he helped Turin find gold at old gold mines in the Western US. The objective was to make the mine active again.
“That’s sad. We watch the show and he was a kind man. His team will miss him,” one internet user commented.
“That’s awfully sad. Sixty is no age at all. Deepest sympathy to his family,” another wrote.
“Awww RIP you were an inspiration to watch!” a third added.
