It always seems like some men just cannot function without their wives at their side.
Whether it’s making sure their clothes aren’t a wrinkled mess or reminding them to not forget something really important for work, wives are the glue that hold their lives together.
This was especially true for Jim Gip who was about to go on his first vacation in almost 3 decades without his wife.
What was going to happen to him? Was he going to be able to survive?!
Well, when Jim was packing for his big trip to Las Vegas, his wife and her girlfriend decided they would help him out, but in an amusing and humorous way! Jim’s wife, Kim, had typed out a sort of “lost-and-found” note designed exclusively for her forgetful and sometimes misguided husband. She printed it out, laminated it and even put it in a homemade lanyard so that he could wear it around his neck during the vacation.

But what Kim and Jim couldn’t expect was that their little joke would entertain hundreds of thousands across the globe.
Jim Gip is a fantastic father and husband from California who has spent most of his life with his wife, Kim.
So when he was going on a vacation with just his friends, and no wives, his family wondered how he would survive. He was a fantastic husband, but he was also forgetful and Kim often had to take care of him like so many wives do.
Would he be able to make it back from Vegas without her?
The vacation was to Las Vegas, the city of lights. Kim and her friend Patty came up with a fantastic idea for a gag gift. Jim was going to be getting a special going away present, but no one was quite prepared for what it turned into.

What was their hilarious idea? Kim typed out a “lost-and-found” card for him to wear around his neck, complete with a phone number, instructions and even a homemade lanyard.
Kim was so proud of her work that she even texted it to her adult son Brandon who also found it to be a good laugh.
The message reads:
My name is Jim. If I look lost, please call my wife, Kim Gip @ ***-***-****.
If I am in a restaurant just staring at the menu, please order me some sort of Asian food, especially white rice.
I’ve never been away from my wife, who does everything for me.

Jim found the gag so funny that he even packed it with his other things and took it to Las Vegas.

Jim even wore the the note to a restaurant in Las Vegas and had a friend snap a picture of the event.
Soon after Brandon received this picture from his mother, he went to Twitter and posted it. What none of the Gip family expected was that his tweet would go viral with over 70,000 likes and 40,000 retweets. All across the globe people are falling in love with the Gips and their hilarious gag gift.
The gift seems to have worked, too, with Jim arriving safely at home after a fun vacation with his friends in Las Vegas. One they (and the internet) won’t forget!
