Netflix’s hit series Stranger Things has helped a lot of talented artists prove their mettle on practical grounds.
Over the course of the three seasons, we’ve seen some raw talent emerging and taking form.
It’ll not be an overstatement to say that top of the list among this list of heroes is Joe Keery – for performing the interesting character of Steve Harrington.
Joe’s character brought up a number of hilarious situations but the best thing about him was his ridiculous 80’s mullet haircut.
Now that he has not to remain in the character of Steve Harrington, Joe has made the decision of giving the mullet up for a nice and neat bowl cut.
Joe made the first appearance with the all-new haircut at a channel dinner, a couple of days ago. At the event, he was almost unrecognizable due to the huge change in his hairstyle.
It seems Joe’s fans have not welcomed the star’s new haircut. People are using social media to express their disappointment and disapproval of the new hair cut he just got.
A tweet in this regard read: “Oh he** no who did this to Joe Keery I want them in jail right now.”
Another person wrote on the social media: “In memory of Joe Keery he is not dead but his beautiful hair is.”
A third disheartened fan said: “I could’ve gone my whole life without Joe Keery’s bangs. I would’ve lived a fun and fulfilled life and now my nights will be haunted by the memory of those photos.”
However, there were other fans who supported Joe’s new appearance. One supporter said: “If he likes it then that’s all that matters.”
Another loyal fan defended the star, saying: “Joe Keery is handsome no matter what his hair looks like.”
Joe’s haircut was a part of his character in the TV series that we all are used to. People started loving him for his character, including the mullet.
His haircut even sparked a little thing on Twitter two years back, and it looks like the next wave is coming now.
In an interview to Esquire in 2017, Joe shed some light on how he maintained his hair, even revealing some secret tricks he has for it.
He said: “Well, the cut’s good. And if the haircut is good, that’s half the job.
“It’s just a blow-dry with stuff in the back. Sarah Hindsgaul, who is the head of hair, is totally killer. She’s the best. She does the hair for the entire cast, and you can see how accurate and subtle her work is.
“It’s not, like, in-your-face ’80s hair; it’s really nice and tasteful. She’s the hair guru.”
Joe also mentioned Farrah Faberge Organics hairspray as a good thing to use with his hair.
He said: “I think they’ve actually discontinued [Fabergé Organics]. You can probably find it on eBay or something. Prices will probably jack up in the next week or two. Or maybe Netflix will reissue it.”
Replaced!
