Being a celebrity is not just earning fame, it also means opening up to all kinds of controversies.
A celebrity makes one little mistake and boom, they are shredded down in pieces.
This fame and controversy bond does not leave a celebrity anywhere they go, and at times, they even follow the celebrity years after their death.
We have all heard too many controversies about Michael Jackson, and they are still coming out even though he has been dead for too many years now.
It looks like he is not the only man as California has another celebrity name in controversies now and the celebrity has been dead for years too.
The one we are talking about here is John Wayne, you probably know him as “The Duke.”
The Oscar-winning actor was one of the greatest actors of his time who received too much love from his audience. Keeping the same in the record, he was honored with major respect as the airport of Orange County was named after him in 1971 calling it John Wayne Airport.
In an interview back in 1971, the actor said something that is out ragging people now and they are demanding to rename the airport now taking his name down.
John made a comment in an interview saying “I think white supremacy should remain intact until the blacks are educated enough to come out as leaders. We cannot just hand them over the leadership and let them guide us. They will have to work through it.”
That was not it as he also made a slander comment about being gay.
His comments definitely divided the state into half and although he spoke the wrong things, it’s time we move on from it.
The actor has been dead for years and his words do not affect the world anymore.
